still no rain here. my buyer came and got 47 more lb. of paw paws and 7lb. of bears tooth. nice pay day today! the paw paws are going to a brewery for paw paw beer and the bears tooth to a hi end restaurant..

Went to check on hen today and found some fresh oysters Plus started to rain at noon and still a steady rain.

I checked my hen trees over the weekend and nothing yet. Raining today for the first time in a long time.
I have picked up a couple bucket fulls of shellbark (king nut hickory) nuts over the weekend.

not yet. maybe .003 inch so far, too little to register. is a small line coming this way from the nw, so hoping.

havn`t been to look at the guage yet but I think we lucked out and got maybe similar to dave. the last doo dah came thru and rained here from about 9 -10 last night. we turned off the tv and opened the windows so we could hear the rain. it sure sounded good. not enough to get us tree digging but enough to help the mushrooms and some grass we planted where the &&*^%%$ lieing power company sprayed( they said wouldn`t kill the grass).

camp town races came to town. doo da doo da, all the doo da night. 6/10 inch. saved by the bell. almost bit the bullet. you know how that saying came to be, bit the bullet? it was back in the civil war. they didn`t have anesthetic then so you bit on a lead bullet as hard as you could while they cut your leg off. man, that would take grit. we crab if the coon market tanks. heck, we got it made in the shade.

Made the trip to check on my hen tree's and I now have 2 about egg size.seems like there coming on latter every year or is it just me.

Its not just you. Several years ago they were always full grown by sep. 25th, and you always brought them to the ISTA convention. The last few years they dont seem to start til Oct. Must be global warming.  |

MY WIFE SAYS i`M HOT. i TOLD YOU ARE TOO! i DID SELL A LIONS MANE TODAY FOR $150 AND 7 MORE LB OF PAW PAWS FOR $35. MIGHT BE 10-15 LB OF PAW PAWS LEFT, BUT ABOUT DONE. THINK i FLOODED THE MARKET SO WE`LL EAT THE LAST 10 LB. KATHY MADE SOME JEWEL WEED SALVE FOR NETTLES AND BEE STINGS ETC. THE STUFF IS AMAZING. SHE SQUEEZED THE JUICE OUT OF THE JEWELL WEEDS AND DON`T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT ELSE. SHE WAS BOILING AND COOKING AND POURING AND NOW HAS SEVERAL JARS ABOUT LIKE HAND CREAM. i MIGHT GO ROLL NAKED IN THE NETTLES JUST SO SHE RUBS IT ALL OVER ME.
