I'm trapping a lake that has corp property all around the lake at least a acre or more above water line in most cases. I've been trapping this particular cove all season and it has been very productive. recently it went dead nothing. I figured that it was a couple that asked me what I was doing one day, as I was leaving. I told them I was trapping. the husband said I can't stand what you are doing, but I'm not the type to mess with your stuff, I explained he would be well advised not to. I go their every day, spent hundreds in fuel checking traps in that cove and last weekend my grandson didn't want to go, so he stayed in the car, while I went to check on traps, he said that the lady and her husband had followed me into the woods to see what and where I was. then ran back to their house. so I went back to the traps that evening and my bait, in the whole was gone. so I re-baited it. my question is what should I do to these people, doubt f&G or sheriff will do anything being their is no evidence they are doing it. I figure they have urinated on the traps as well. I moved a couple set's and got a red fox next day. only 7 more days in season and their is a huge bobcat still in their, sure would like to even the score some how. any idea's

Easy fix. Set traps when you know they are watching, also set trail camera. Get pics of them disturbing your sets and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

I'm headed to wal-mart to see if that cheap trail camera will work or not, not sure how far away it will flash and or if its just junk but I will go read the package and see what I come up with. I would love to have someone drive my car out and I stay thier in the bush, the more I'm thinking this over the more I'm getting upset. I'm going to trap thier next year as well so better deal with it know. sss

Me, iam so tired of being ucked with i would find out wher e they lived and do somthing i shouldnt be thinking about. because the law dont give a chit anymore. If they did they would bust the heck out of them for the little stuff then they would think twice about doing it again. Now days they slap them on the wrist and they think aw that was nothing. so they try somthing bigger next time. THAT IS WHATS WRONG WITH THE WORLD THESE DAYS.

motrapperjohn I agree and seems a lot of trappers just say I'll just pull my traps and move on then they say prosecute them to the fullest degree, and in same sentence say don't do anything to give trappers a bad name, seems some trappers have lost their back bone's and give into the anti's in a second, not me, I'll find a way to have a win win out of this. I did find out they own a resturant in town, and the wheels are turning. I will keep you all posted if anything good happens, or if I need bond money to get out of jail. hehe

Geeze, sorry to hear you got problems with the anti's. Lucky, down here no one gives a crap (unless you live in Fairfield... ever heard of it?). Just as long as your not parading though their crops they don't care.

thats the way it should be trapperknox. they no I'm not doing drugs or drinking or what ever so leave me alone to enjoy my new hobby. I was raised to hold my own and I hate fanatic anti's. I have a plan just wish season was going to last a bit longer. may not be enough time. but it should still work. we'll see. when trappig season come around next year they will remember me thats for sure. speaking of trapping I moved my sets around again, because I'm sure they are urinating on them as soon as they find one. in said place and caught another red makes 7 from same spot. plus three bobcats, only this one has mange I gave it ivomac and penicillin and a distemper shot see how he does. anyone have a better cure for mange sure would like to know if you do. thanks

ivomec is good and hair will grow back on em, just takes awhile if they have it bad. we used to take dogs w/ mange give em ivomec and shampoo em w/ selson blue shampoo, been wondering if that would speed up the process, thanking about trying it on a yote!

well with this fox, I didn't use tape at first. I used snare to close his mouth, then I used plastic zip ties, then it came off. so I put it back on then taped the mouth. not taking any chances, carried him out with plastic zip ties and electrical tape, pretty much gun shy for a bit maybe when I have full use of my thumb I will do things differently but for now I'm not taking any chances. thanks for advice on shampoo
