tony - you ever try snaring them beaves? I do a lot of ADC beaver work for the county I live in and got tired of hauling all that heavy steal with me several years ago and now snare 85%+ of em. Them suckers are so easy to snare it ain't funny. Also a big plus for trap shy beaves. Trap shy beaves in my opinion are just as hard if not harder to outsmart than an old toe pinched yote. Snares can give you a big advantage in those situations too.

i snare a few, here and there, usually when i can't drown em or set up 330s, to tell the truth , i ain't that good at it! i always say i'm going to work on that, but i'm usually needing to git after em, and just keep going like i always have,,,,,,,, but i'm going to work on that! lol would really like to work on snareing yotes, Brad Collins sent me a couple yote snares, almost ashamed to say i ain't got em out yet.

I know that they're not the best animal to have around and I know the basic rule of these things, "See one... shoot one." I just never hear of people trapping this things.

tONY THEY ARE FUN TO CATCh and also good to eat. I have the hams injected with a brown sugar cure and have them smoked , better than most store bought. As far as snares go I used 3/32 with extra swivel and tied it off up high in a 3in. sapling, worhs great on hogs under 150lbs. Lost only one a big boar broke loose as I walked up. Good thing he went the other way as the pistol was emty. Wouldnt mind finding a good place to find some more.
