Is it legal to keep roots til next year?

nope. illegal unless you buy a buyers lisc and get it certified. you might be able to replant if not too dry. it can take a heck of a drying and still come back up. bone dry, nope, have to sell it and take a beating. maybe stick it in the coon hides that likely will be in the freezer over the next summer now too, lol- or cry.

I think the mkt. will open up after a bit . If your wanting 8-900 like last yr. forget it. You may hold for a long time. If you have to store it, don't put it in the freezer. If the dang stuff gets frost in the bag, it will have to be redried and spread out to dry correct. Put your seng in a paper bag, cardboard box, or a cardboard or fiber drum. I stored 200 lbs. once for 2 yrs. in barrells. They were the cardboard or fiber or whatever those drums are called.

Thanks guys. Its not a big deal, as I just dug a few when I was squirrel hunting , maybe a quarter pound or so. The way the economy is, I figured it may only be worth $150/ lb before long. But a few bucks dont matter much since I lost 8 grand in my retirement fund.
