We are starting to have small snows pile up and today we stand at about 6". It could be 12" next week. I've use a small wisk broom to brush snow off of my sets. I watched a couple of coyote trapping videos where the trappers used either a broom or a rake to clear off a very large area (8-10') around their sets. I'd like to ask how big of an area some of you trappers clean snow off of at a set. I'm starting to think I should remove snow from a much bigger area than just a few feet, especially when the snow starts piling up over a foot deep. Thanks for any replies.
