wanted a small fawn for the ribs so sure enough shot one just before dark. clean lung shot so no busted guts. it ran into some weeds and we looked and just got too dark. no worries, we`ll find it first daylight. welll. seems a family of coyotes found it first. I couldn`t believe it, they ate everything. all the meat, all the guts, even the tongue. all that was left was a skeleton with still wet blood and the hide and the eyeballs still glistening in the skull. I`ve heard stories like this before but always thought it was exageration. well it`s not. youi couldn`t have picked one cup of meat off that deer with toothpicks. well, now it`s on. ( the revenge)

I've seen 2 - 200 lb bears consumed between dark and daylight September hours, in my life. All that is left in the AM is the bloody spine both times. Couple other times had coyotes trying to get at dead bears before it got dark and just waiting for help with the drag. They sure can find the food.

Transmission puked out on me in the truck. Did some research and turns out there's 2 recalls with gigetts in transmission. Crops are almost all out and with the warm weather/ & deer season winding down I need my truck. They said it'd be 5 hr job. One more place to grab 50-60 rats and run coyote sets as well.

guy shot a big 8pt on our place the first sun. of gun season at 8am ran off and couldnt find it. went back at 1pm found the deer that really hadnt gone far. had to chase the buzzards and crows off it. they already had ate the eyeballs and started at the butt hole. they wouldnt have had anything by morning after the coyotes found it.
