driving down the road a few days ago I see where someone threw out a huge head and neck and hide attached. bet it weighed 50lb or more. the horns were cut off with the skull plate. get it in the truck and take it here on the farm for my bait pile. didn`t think anything of it other than man, someone got a really really big buck. last night the coyotes cleaned all the meat and fat off the hide and drug it maybe 50 yards. I drug it back and looking at the hide all I see is one tiny bullet hole. that deer wasn`t shot by any bow and arrow!

A lot more of that goes on than people realize. Two weekends ago I was hunt up north. One evening right at prime time just at last light I heard a rifle crack off on the next road south of us. Just one shot. Pisses me off.

we heard same thing, single shot about 10 minutes to dark somewhere mile or two west of here 2 evenings back. irritating. last year our neighbor that joins us shot two 8 point bucks opening day and next day. he owns 10 acres, 7 of which is mowed grass yard. said his 8 year old daughter shot the 2nd one. neither kathy or I got a buck last year. gets old...fast. have to wonder where are the wardens? I know they have lots of ground to cover and can`t be everywhere.

I've found 3 does stacked up on each other. Shot nothing used just wasted. I hear shots when I'm in bed trying to sleep.
