Finally set that other area as ice came off. Pulled 25 rats in two checks. Might set more around X-mas as I'll have some time then. Caught couple more coyotes where I dumped gut piles back in November. Thought it'd be fun to snap a #3 Bridger on my hand/thumb. Oh what fun...

Caught a young pair yesterday at gut pile spot. Must be natural travel way. I lucked into that as I've never been good at pin pointing these spots. Had mud ball this morning other two were good yet I'll hose this one down And see later. Had to be at work @4:30 so checked at 2.

Need a little bit of a tutorial... in couple of sets a coyote has uncovered 2 sets 2 days in a row. Thinking about adding 1/2 inch more dirt over set and placing a unset trap a foot away from dirt hole. Don’t think their that smart but 2 days in a row makes me think about why I ain’t catching them

You never know until you try. Are you using more peat moss now? Any chance you got lure/bait smell on trap?

Trap has caught 5 or 6 coyotes so far. It’s got all know nds of smells on it. I made sure it was covered and left it alone.

Found the issue. Landowners (88 yrs old) son (65) didn’t like it that I was trapping them I guess. He was springing traps- let the CO know but nothing will happen... figures good location and now it’s gone.

Had to smile when thinking about last year. A Dr. a couple miles away to the south herd of me catching coyotes last year. He made contact with me and said that he would pay me for catching the predators on his place. No limit & kill them all. That guy that set my traps off last year- I’ll just tip my hat that I left plenty for this year. Lol
