kathy got a nice buck pic on her trail camera not 50 yards from the cook out pavillion. she is out with her new cross bow now. I wouldn`t want to be that deer. was going to go chum some coyotes with a pile of dead pigs and she said I couldn`t do it tonight.

Good luck to Kathy! Them dang trail cams. I hate them. They always tell me deer came by my stand while I was hunting elsewhere.

she saw 9 does and fawns frmn her stand last night and no bucks. she said was a beautiful evening just to sit up there and enjoy life. she did have our "pet" deer walk about 5 feet from her. his mom got run over out front about july . he has been an orphan ever since and never grouped up with other deer. all brown and 2/3 grown and tame like a dog. today I`ll go throw the pigs out. get the coyotes coming regular and make some big $. uh huh.

well she hit one tonight, but not a kill shot. he stood around a while, then gimped off slow. we`ll go looking in the morning, give him time to seize up. same buck she missed yesterday. times like this is when we wish we still had a decent dog. nathan is hunting tomorrow evening, still trying for his first deer. I told him don`t wait for a buck, just get one. we must have some deer this year as kathy saw 9 different ones yesterday and 7 this evening. same tripod we put the youth hunter on at the cook out last 2 years. I`ve not gone yet. saw the neighbors put 2 stands up right, and I mean 6", from our property line. one of those houses out front where the guy owns 10 acres. cheesy I tell you. we raise them, neighbors shoot them. same neighbor shot 2 bucks last year ( illegal) and claimed his 8 year old daughter shot the 2nd one in gun season. back to back 2 bucks opening day. I saw him getting the 2nd deer and he was the one carrying the gun and no daughter in sight. more grrrr.

Shot a 8 point this am. Had a body like a horse. Field dressed at 230 lbs. carcass weight of 185 on the rail. Heaviest deer I've ever got. Big set of antlers too

we`ve got one like here on trail cam, but only at night. several smaller bucks and lots of does so by and by the time will be right. we never did find the one kathy hit. we tracked it at least a mile and then lost the trail so hopfully he isn`t dead somewhere. glad you got a dandy!

I put a picture of him on FB. Now to get my boy to stick one, but he's being picky. @12 years old I shot whatever came by. He's wanting a good buck & won't shoot a little one...

been there done that. usually means no deer this year! just now picked nathan up from the school bus and there is a coyote about 1/4 mile north of the drive in the cornfield. maybe he found kathys deer. have to do a little investigating I guess.

I think I'm going to put some sets out and start checking before work. Hearing too many while we are deer hunting. Of course it's cool and nothing but mud..

and more mud, looks like rain for at least a week. talked to johhny tonight and he got a buck. also told me some guy called him wanted to sell him one shoe but he couldn`t remember which leg johhny still had. always something going on!

Went to plug the fur freezer in and no go. I've got to find one before start setting traps. Not much on Craigslist around here.
But I do know of some washes that need fur lined sad about the prices, but they still need thinned out
