My seed is ripe now and some plants are yellow,looks like a early year again.

planted a few red ones today, but most are still green here yet. we had a very wet cold late spring. still wet, finally no summer drought.

I have several ripe seed on my plants also. Poor seed production at best though. They bloomed nice but never put much seed on the head. I have some nice full heads but most are 1/2 or less. This is not wild seng though. I would guess that most wild seed is not ripe yet. Doyle your plants have a northern gene in the plant that makes them ripen earlier. I have not been in the woods to check on the wild seng in this area yet. From what I am hearing on price on wild seng, it looks as though we might be starting at 4 or 450. It,s still to early to tell just what the price will be. when I get a stable price I will quote it.

My wild and wild simulated is still green and has some seed but not bid bunches .

well, left for out of state a few weeks and came back and sure enough, near drought. no rain today even tho I see the wet hole lafayette/terre haute line got plenty, as usual.

We got some here but real spread out,some got a lot and me a little.Maybe enough to bring on the hens.

Getting real dry here. If it don't rain soon, the seng crop is going to be short in this area. My personal seng has a few plants turning yellow. I have picked a few ripe seeds, but seed production will be about 1/2.
