ONE TIME COUPLE YEARS AGO IT WAS BAD DRY JUNE AND JULY AND WE GOT A WET SPELL FOR A WEEK AND COOL IN EARLY AUGUST AND WE FOUND A BIG HEN MAYBE AUG 20TH. NEVER HAPPENED AGAIN SINCE. HERE USUALLY INTO OCTOBER OR LAST FEW DAYS OF SEPTEMBER BEFORE WE FIND ANY.

It always seems like a week or two after the first couple nights in the forties. The last couple years it seems like it was first of Oct. before I found any.

I have always found one by the 15 of sept but that one year and a friend had to send one to me was just to dry
