I didn`t have anything up there but taklked to a few guys that did. coons and coyotes went mostly unsold and the few that did sell were $8 coyotes and $11 coons. once in a while someone would have something good, like a $35 coyote or a $60 fox, but not remotely common or representative of the averages or clearances. sure glad all mine are gone and all sold in the country.

not to many yet or not mine maybe 7 10 but nothing to brag about yet. With the China problem weather and every thing else I guess it could be worst. In the 90s I learned to tan so I could sell stuff at the mountain man events I may need to do it again.

The sale sucked./ Looks like I may loose a few thousand this time. The only thing I made money on was rats and they was off several dollars from the feb. sale. foxes, coyotes, coon, beaver, otter and possumn was all terrible. Reminded me of 1986 or 1987. Will be some country buyers that will loose big time this year, especially if you bought in Illinois or eastward. If you live up north or in nebraska, iowa.missouri or anything west, you did fair, but not great. Funny how the mink ranchers prices did not fall like wild fur. We got slaughtered and they got a slap on the wrist.

you could be a tree farmer and watch the gubmnt paying grain farmers trillions and all you get is more regulations and no money AND IF IT`S A DROUGHT THE TREES DIE. I guess you are in a sense a ginseng farmer. don, serious, my guy would have paid you more than you are getting. I mean today or yesterday or a week ago. many times I`ve posted for every piece of gold nafa gives it tAKES 3 AWAY. i DON`T LIKE THEM, i DON`T TRUST THEM. NO WAY AROUND THEY ARE OWNED BY THE COMPETITION AND NOT BY US. WHEN IT`S CONVENIENT AND IN THEIR FAVOR TO HELP WILD FUR AND THEY CAN MAKE MONEY OFF WILD, THEY DO IT. WHEN THE WINDS CHANGE WE GET THROWN UNDER THE BUS AND NOT A BIT OF HESITATION. SCUTTLEBUT IS SEPT WILL BE TERRIBLE. i HOPE NOT. LIKELY ALL US OLD GUYS WILL END OUR CAREERS A LITTLE BURNT AROUND THE EDGES. i GUESS THAT`S WHAT WE GET FOR LIKING FIRE.

GET THOUSANDS OF SENG STOLE AND THEY CAN`T SEEM TO FIGURE IT OUT OR PENALIZE THE THIEF EVEN WHEN HANDED TO THEM ON A PLATTER. THE SORRY PART IS IN EVERY CASE THE THIEVES ARE THE TYPE PEOPLE THAT WE THINK WE ARE. NOPE, LOT OF SKUNKS ARE TRAPPERS AND HUNTERS. TOOK ME A LONG TIME TO ACCEPT THAT. i THINK THE INTERNET AND NTA FINALLY GOT IT INTO MY NOGGIN NOT EVERYONE IS NICE JUST BECAUSE THEY TRAP.

Bob I agree with you on your thoughts. I would like to try your buyer sometime, but, I have to much fur to load into a pickup truck. I can rent a big uhaul and sometimes get everything in it. Next year I will probably be able to get most of my fur behind the seat in my pick up.

i`VE GOT 2 GUYS NOW, BOTH SIMILAR CONNECTIONS. IT`S NICE TO BE ABLE TO SAY NO AND TRY AGAIN LATER OR GO A DIFFERENT PLACE. BOTH HAVE BEAT NAFA REPEATEDLY FOR YEARS NOW, EVEN LAST YEAR. AND SAME AS ON SAME TIME IN THE MARKET. i WILL SAY NEITHER WANTED COONS THIS YEAR, BUT THEY ACTIVELY SOUGHT OUT EVERYTHING ELSE. THEY`D BUY COONS BUT LITTLE BETTER THAN NAFA AVERAGES, MAYBE ONLY A FEW DOLLARS. THEY HAD THE STORY ON COON WAY BACK IN DEC. i`M NOT A BUYER, BUT IF MY GUYS KNEW WAY BACK SURELY NAFA KNEW ALSO AND IMO WAS DERELICT IN NOT INFORMING THEIR SHIPPERS. BIG OR SMALL AND AT LEAST GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO SEEK OTHER MARKETS.

DON, MAKE NO NEVER MIND THAT SITE WHERE EVERYONE IS EXPERTS. OUR FUR HAS REASONABLE VALUE EVEN IN A DEPRESSED MARKET, IF TAKEN SEASONABLE AND HANDLED WELL.ALL OF THE SPECEIES WE HAVE. i`VE SOLD TOO MUCH OF IT AND SO HAVE YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE TO THINK DIFFERENT.

My VA yotes were bought back, did pretty good on Grey Fox and Muskrat. Got a $10 avg. on my coon that weren't bought back. Big drop from my $18 avg. last May. The majority of my fur will be offered in the September sale, I hope it goes better.

I sold to Dave Pfander in late March of this yr. (2014) $18 on 'coon, then $16, $14 and $12 was the break down. Had a few little ones for like $6. R. fox $40 and count. Yotes $25, 'rats $10 and even $6 on kits. Reading it all now....I am d**ned surprised I got what I did that late into the selling season as it was almost April when I sold. Got the receipt here somewhere to prove it. Scanned an emailed it to Bob that same day as I knew he'd never believe it.
