This from FHA today
We expect our January 9th auction to very successful. We have several new Chinese buyers in attendance, as well as a good number of buyers from Greece and Italy. Even the two difficult species of last year (Raccoon and coyote) are getting a very good look.
I will try and give you an update tomorrow.

Anybody have any beaver in this sale? Do our southeast Indiana pelts fall in the “eastern” category?

On beaver the darker the better....western is usually a blonde/tan color. eastrns are that dark maroon type & everyone should trap the black beaver as they have the most value. Don't try spray painting as the graders figure that out...ha

Only had leftover coons and beaver from last year on the sale..... Coon Average: $15.12 Sold: 34 Unsold: 3
Beaver Average: $45.88 Sold: 8 Unsold: 0
I guess if they are catching on to the spray painting a guy should start soaking hides in walnut hulls and trap dye solutions. Just throw em in the dye bucket once your done dipping traps.lol
