The Michigan Trappers & Predator Callers Association annual convention will be August 17, & 18, 2012. It will be at the fairgrounds in Evart, Michigan. We will have close to 2 demonstrations per hour and Greg Schroeder from FHA will do continuous skinning, fleshing and stretching demonstrations Friday and Saturday. Many other special events for the entire family along with special and commemorative raffles will take place throughout the convention. Camping and food is available on the fair grounds. Camping is 15 dollars a night or 25 dollars for the weekend. We will have a Trapper ED Class on Friday Contact Dale Hendershot [e-mail]. Fur auction lot numbers will be issued Saturday afternoon. The general membership meeting will be on Saturday in the late afternoon, followed by our live auction.

Good time had by all. Weather was cool, 40's in the morning, making it to the 70's in the Afternoon. Attendance was 1347, best in the last 5 years. That's 17 and older payed attendance. I'm told and by the looks of all the merchandise going OUT the gate, the Venders were happy.

We ate and drank well at camp. With Trappers from OH, IN, MN, ILL,MO and MI. Kids did well picking up empties. My Youngest son bought 4 traps with his money, Oldest got a knife, and a little bit of candy got purchased also

I would like too THANK all who made the drive to attend. A special THANKS to AMY CRUM for arriving so my wife was not SAD ;D ;D ;D
