There calling for some here tonight and on Sun.Then cold for three days 30 for a low so that wont help.

Rained a bit about 10 minutes ago. Other than that, Last week was the last rain I seen. It is getting so hot, the dang things are drying on the outside a bit. A little rain and cooler weather would be good.

we need rain bad here as well, supposed to get some tomorrow or saturday, hope we get a bit both days, this rain hits and it will be ON !! kinda excited to say the least, id like to see the temps fall myself, doyle not to act like a know it all, but those few days shouldnt hurt anything, may even extend the season a bit, its hard to believe ya ginseng is up and blooming but ya not finding any morels, i have yet to see a ginseng plant here, and the goldenseal is just startin to come up, and ive been pickin for over 2 weeks, ya may wanna look for early morel spots

My seng and seal is also up. Some of the seng is 10 in. tall. the leaves are not open though. The seal is blooming.

Here is a pic.of sang just coming out note that the flower is already growing. ducker my woods is later than some here but it is a strange year.Today i found a yellow just starting but the blacks haven't started yet.Even the lilacs are blooming and the yellows should be in full swing. The cold will only slow us down a little,i have had it snow in Michigan and not hurt us a lot.

With the flower head showing when the plant comes up, it should be Canadien seng. All my Canadien is much further advanced than my American seng. The plant will also have ripe berries by the end of Julyor the first of August. I have seen ripe berries on Canadien many times by the 3rd week of July. The plant has a much shorter growing season up north, so it must have an advantage over the American seng.

yepper the big yellows are up now. I found 8 of the giants acouple days ago not to mention the smaller ones.
