As a shipper....It would certainly be simpler for me as a trapper to keep my memberships current (I'm a life member so not me personally) in the organizations of my choice if this service was available, which it apparently is for the NTA members.
BTW, Where is that phone number?

Robert you can go to FHA website under shipping agents go to NY and you will find Toby. They also have a lot of other good stuff while there check out FUR is Green:) When a trapper renews his membership there is always that reminder of the different types of membership including lifetime. Then there are those like myself who get the cheeper membership without the magazine. This would be another option unavailable to the trapper. So in rough economical times when someone needs to cut back FTA could possibly lose that member. On Flip side a trapper comes into a more financially stable situation and doesn't have that Lifetime membership box to entice him, FTA could lose that potential life member. Okay you have a guy/kid that ships 3 junk yotes, 1 green junk coon. The yotes don't sell and his junk coon gets $4 he thinks he paid his membership because he checked the box but he really didn't because he didn't make enough money to pay it. Then what? Does FTA loses that member? Does he get to vote? In theory everything sounds Great but I have received some gifts in beautiful packaging and ended up disappointed. Ya it may be simpler but gee when are Americans going to become fiscally responsible again? Part of the economic problems in this country are because people are not paying their own bills so they really have no clue what there true income and expenses are. It has been proven that people that do not pay with cash or check are less aware of their true financial situation this includes people who use automatic payments and internet. I was raised the easy way isn't always the right way, nothing in life worth having comes easy Like I said before you and I have no clue why it is available for NTA members and personally I don't care why it is because I don't believe it should be for any one. If you are that concerned become a FHA member, go to the next membership meeting and investigate the terms of the NTA box then petition the membership/officers for the FTA.  Good Luck! Alexis, I plan on shipping some fur to FHA (are you going to come pick it up?) but I have no plans on attending any FHA membership meetings.....don't have the time, haven't attended any of the NAFA meetings/ conventions yet either....just isn't enough days on the calendar or hours in the day.
As for your statment " personally I don't care" YOU NEED TO CARE! Not having a better understanding of what so many have went through concerning all of this.........

I care about my shippers:) I work for my shippers:) I have always done my best to server my shippers! Their Major concern has always been about their fur. Not one of my shippers has ever ask me about this issue. That tells me they Do Not care about it so that tells me I don't have any reason to care about it. It is a dead issue to me I'm not going to ride this mouse wheel anymore. See guys on a new post Thanks for your support!
