what kind of wood do u all use for baited sets for beavers? If u have pictures it would be great

maple when I use it will stay white for a long time, good eye appeal

what ever the local beavers are eating. if you bring in wood for bait they might not come to it since its something they aren't used to.

i pretty much just use what ever is in reaching distance, lay shaveings down, w/ partially peeled stick in site, and a little woodchipper lure on it, seems to help, if the sticks discolor, grab a new one. if it is a good set, at a good location, things should happen to soon to worry to much about discoloring anyway. imo

What ever they are eating locally ,some other types of food lure can use for eye appeal are apples or potatoes ,cat tail roots ,or one of my own home brews is fine chopped ginger root with vegetable oil or corn oil combine and let the ginger root smell blend with the oil use on edge of the water half on land and a little in the water to make an oil slick that oil slick will spread out across the pond they will be waiting for you in the morning
