Getting ready to leave work and slap a couple coyote sets in between here and home. Not planning to hit it very hard, just wanting to see what bouncing eyeballs look like in the morning.

First farm- fertilizer and lime spreaders and a couple other vehicles right where I set. Go to plan B - pull in to that farm and so does a 14 feet wide bush hog ready to mow all lanes, fence rows, field edges, traps , etc. Go to plan C- south edge of farm is full of combines, semis, grain carts, tractors, dogs, women, etc. ... Just kidden about the women. Plan D, drive a mile to the north end of that farm, all crops are done but the doublecrop beans, so I start slappin em in the ground, bend my driver, straighten it, try a rebar for pilot hole, bend it, got a couple in and headed home. I think God is sending me a message..... leave em for the DNR, or Zach, .. whichever comes along first.

Dave, welcome to my world. LOL
i can make a farmer plow or pick any feild, grade any road, or bushhog the ends of feild, i want him to, all i got to do is put a trap in it, and he'll be there, and have it done before i git there the next morning. LOL
Tim what are your thoughts on the full moon?
went from 3 and 4 a day, to zip yesterday, & 1 today, checked 33 traps and didn't see a yote till 33rd trap..... they working on my mojo. LOL

Full moon with no cloud cover is bad news...combine that with high winds and even worse....
Best thing dave has going for him (even with a fuller type moon) is that a mini front is coming through tonight and the coyotes could move well (if the belly needs filled)...or they are just out for sum fun:)

zilch here too, and 1" of rain. 7 sets and kinda regretted getting weak and setting them yesterday tried the first field and about got stuck. so no more setting today. I refuse to start using the atv when we are looking at maybe a $2 coyote market. and the pee cages will fill fast next week.

buy a contractors h.d. plastic bag and cut a hole for your head. keep the head hole tight and the only thing better is a commercial fishermans pant and top rainsuit, at a lot more bucks. the cioontractor bags are like $3.99 for a roll of 50. just keep the box in the truck. you might still be wet, but at least not soaked to the hide.
