I was looking for a container with a secure lid in which to put some chunks of my favorite kinds of meat to age into some coyote bait today. I found one with a secure lid in the pile-O-goodies stashed behind my fur shed and pulled it out of the pile. "Heavy," thinks me. "Haven't used this bucket for a couple of years, must have some water in it."
Nope! I've got two year old coyote bait which has now rendered down into a rather fragrant brown gravy. Any chance this stuff is usable or am I just going to make the song-doggies roll on the sets?
I can imagine using it as is down the hole. I can imagine adding a bit of pee to it and using it as a set freshener. I can also imagine pitching the whole container somewhere the sun won't ever shine on it again.
OPINIONS, PLEASE

Richard Miller gave me some, he called it gater oil , where gater meat was in 5 gallon bucket for a couple of years, it's the consistancy of motor oil, and will git thick as all git out in the winter, (to thick to pour) i've put it in dirtholes, it will catch yotes, but i have better baits that i like!
