It is with great sadness that I report that Doyle passed this morning. His daughter posted on facebook to let everyone know. Another great one lost.

was in the woods pulling galic mustard and came in and kathy was crying. we both loved him like we love our fathers and mothers and spouses and children. tears are falling as I type. just yesterday doyle and I were pm-ing back and forth making plans, talking roots and skunks and trapping. one of the finest men I ever had the honor to associate with.

I never met Doyle in person, but I feel like I have known him for a few years now. He will truly be missed.

I really don't know what to say. I could sit and talk to Doyle for hours. One of the highlights of going to Bobs every year was getting to sit down with Doyle.

One of the best for sure. I was so shocked when I heard that. Every time I see the trees and plants that Doyle helped me get started, his memory will live on forever.

Rip Doyle. I will miss you. I sit here in complete bewilderment. My condolence to his wife, Daughter, and the Grand children we all know he loved so much. Doyle was a real man of men.He loved the woods as much as any one of us does. He raised some of the finest woods grown Ginseng, I ever had the privilege of buying. I wish I could say more at this time, but just can't get my head to wrap around the passing of this fine Gentleman. Mr. Doyle, if your reading this in Heaven,I am grateful to God for having walked the Earth the same time you did. May we meet again some day Doyle.

Was driving down the road yesterday and John Bliss sent me a text. Got the news a little late since I didn't log in here. Still taking this one hard and will always think of him as a wonderful sincere man whom I trusted with my whole heart.

Never met Doyle in person but "chatted" with him here & FB. Seemed like a genuine guy and that's rare anymore. I learned a thing or two and I'm grateful for that & wish I'd met him in person. Prayers for the family.

Just got on here and saw this. Really shocked. Can't think of any one that I saw volunteer more than Doyle for trappers in Indiana. Really going to miss his posts, too.
