we started early spring round up spraying it maybe 5 years ago. first 2 years couldn`t tell any difference at all. third year it was less. last year way less. spraying today and gettingg hard to find it except scattered ones. so you can get rid of it, but takes lots of dedication and hand spraying and walking. the neighbors and the rest of the world is over run with it, so first 5 years after I`m dead it will have been a waste of time if nathan or someonre dedicated to having a healthy woods doesn`t keep on it. I`m banking on nathan to carry on. he and kathy flagged any they found and I follow with the spray tank.

read 10 years or something crazy like that. I don`t imagine all seeds live that long, rather the hi end of how long they last. couple years ago we sold some garlic mustard greens to a distributor for hi end yuppie "natural foods" restaurants. then he discovered he could harvest dump truck loads free in all the road ditches. lol, back to spraying.

I tried to eat some and went back to spraying. I thought it was nasty but I don't like most greens

we`ve took the green leaves and diced up very tiny and 1/2 mashed it and mix with butter and made garlic bread same as store bought garlic bread taste. as far as eat it straight, uh uh. while I`m on, chickweed is up now and it does make good salad. you can pick a bushel in just minutes. getting the dirt out is another story. tough on the toofers.

now is the time dave, as nothing else is up yet so you can spray round up all over and only kill the mustard. looks like next week finding a day it doasn`t rain for a few hours will be tough. you`ll need to go back again in a few weeks and get the late sprouters.
