i eased in to a remote area to my climber last monday around 1pm for the afternoon hunt real thick stuff farthest shot maybe 50 yrds. around 4pm sounds like a heard of cattle coming through but its 4or 5 whitetales bustin out im downwind cant figure it out then i see 2 potlicker dogs chasing them. (im wishin for a supressed 22) the dogs leave and i sit tight. at 5 i see this deer coming from my right, bad deal for a righ hander so i go lefty and stop him at 30 yrds. i heard a loud crash a hundred away where he expired from a 200gr shockwave. bigest deer i ever put a site on.taxidermist aged him at 10.

what I want to know is where you are selling $3 coon. I`ll have to say even tho I never got any deer even close to brads that I have enjoyed and had the time to hunt more now that fur has tanked. at this point in my life it wouldn`t matter if coon got up to $100 each , I just don`t think I`d trap coon instead of deer hunt ever again. coyotes are fun, but not at no value. I will trap hard again if we get a market. I like my western trips, but I do them after deer seasons are over. and when farming is done. or in the summer for adc. never ceases to amaze me how our lives and prioritys change. nothing ever stays the same except good friends.
