Everyone is waiting for the results of this past weekends Fur Sale put on by the Indiana State Trappers Association at Peru, IN. We had 32 Trappers sell 1272 pelts to nine (9) Buyers for a total of $4507.32. The Range of values were:
Beaver XXXL /XXL: No Sale Beaver XL/LG: $ 7.50 – 10.00 Beaver Small/Frozen/Med: $0.50 – 4.50 Beaver Grease/Carcass: $3.00 – 6.00
Coyote #1: $ 7.00 – 22.00 Coyote #2: $ 1.00 - 3.00 Coyote Grease: $ 20.00 Coyote Damaged /Frozen: $1.00 – 3.00
Fox #1: $ 17.00 - 20.00 Fox #2 / Damaged: $ 11.00
Mink XXL /XL; $1.00 - 8.50 Mink Med/Lg: $2.50 – 6.00 Mink Carcass/Frozen: $1.00

Glad I never lifted a finger this season. If I can't make my gas money weekly and at least $10/hr. for my efforts.. I aint doing it. The "Fun" went out of it for me long ago. I still like the "fun" of the trapline, but I am NOT NOT NOT contributing to the further decline of the fur mkt. by giving away fur. Bands charge money to play at a bar on Sat. night, a cabinet maker charges for woodworking skills....we should be no different.
