Saw on Facebook on the Trapping USA group where a fellow is using a drone to check sets. Pull into the barn lot (per se) and send the drone to look at the sets.
Practical ? I could see where it could be, if too muddy and the sets were close enough that the drone was still in line of sight. Might save hauling the ATV on muddy days etc, esp. in flat country where you can fly it down a fence line, not many big trees etc.
Us nuisance guys have the remote control checkers for cage traps, they've been around for almost 10 yrs. now. When the cage door is sprung, it sends a text to your cell. It's great for the customers who bail out the door to work at 6AM and forget to check the traps and call in by the required 8AM notification time per my contract.
