Caught another red yesterday on my last day. I met with game warden and he said he had lived in Indiana when he was younger. Checked both cats and he said his brother was also trapping & having hard time finding coyotes. All in all happy for my cats, fox, silver coon & badger I got to bring home. Now time to plan another trip maybe further west? Side note forgot toenail clippers, I could of climbed a telephone pole when I got home earlier today. Lol

and q tips, never know how much you use q tips and toe nail clippers till they aren`t there.also hand creme so your hands and feet don`t crack all up. always carry aspirin, penicillin , suture material ,and duct tape too. razor blades for skunk glands. and more socks that you think you need.

suture material for you. not the hides. free anesthetic is an ice cube on the skin and take a stitch, then ice cube and another stitch. no need spend good $ or waste time at a hospital when trapping.

Busted my knuckle on my trigger finger in one of #3's. Saturated my glove and it got dirt rub treatment. Wife's a nurse practitioner and gave me the evil eye when she saw it. I've got to open it up & clean & glue back together. In retrospect I should of taken care of it earlier

I had that in the first aid kit. I'm going to add a suture kit, more sterile gloves, and a flask(medical purposes), hempstat, Ibuprofen

Figures, I get home throw out a few sets yesterday and bang, a bobcat here today! Never caught one here in Indiana before until today. Now I've caught 3 this year. I got it released without to much trouble. He ran off wet & muddy, but he was in good shape otherwise.

I bet so! Matt, I'm sure glad you had a good time and caught a couple cats to boot. Might think about mounting that first one. I can look up while I'm typing this and see my first one.....kinda neat still to this day for me. Way to go! I don't know how may guys I've had tell me "man, I wish I could do that". Well, then.....go do it and let the excuses work it out. Happy for ya!

I got an opportunity to go this year through an invite and I jumped at the chance. Wife got by fine without me for 2 weeks. I'm wanting to do it again next year. If no invite I'll look further west/ north.

Hard to believe, but he put out the same offer last season and no one took him up on it... Seems like a swell guy too...
