this is why all coyote traps need cross staked I don`t care how hard the soil is or how long the stake is. nothing hurts trapping more than folks see coyotes dragging traps on a foot as running across the field, or 3 footers healed and shot by a deer hunter. one of those picture is worth a 1,000 words deal.

yes, just 10 miles away. that picture is over 30 years old, before I knew to set 6-8 traps at a spot. back then just 2 sets at a stop was advised. they also advised 3n`s then. and bunch of other stuff now stone age.

was just thinking, not old enough to see elm or chesnut trees, but old enough to see ash trees. heck, we even had fox then and catch coyotes was a big deal.
