You guys will have a blast! I took all of my boys out of school so much they made a policy with some tough restrictions so it wasn't so easy. That was before all this "spring and fall break" stuff. As long as they had their grades in order, I took them on hunting trips individually where they got "their" time. Home Schooling at its finest I think! Take a camera!

IT`S KIND OF BAD TIMING AS FAR AS GETTING SOME SPRAYING, TREE DIGGING, AND SEEDLING PLANTING DONE, BUT PUSH COME TO SHOVE THAT STUFF CAN WAIT A COUPLE WEEKS. i`M ANXIOUS TO GET WITH THE ANNUAL GARLIC MUSTARD WARS TOO. THIS TRAPPING JOB PAYS PRETTY GOOD SO THAT MAKES IT A LITTLE MORE FUN TOO. IF IT DRYS JUST A BIT MORE i`LL TRY TO DO SOME SPRAYING BEFORE WE LEAVE, THEN SUNDAY NIGHT A GUY IS COMING TO PICK UP THE TRACTOR TO PUT IN A NEW CLUTCH. SO THAT PART IS GOOD TIMING, TO BE WITHOUT THE TRACTOR WHEN i`M GONE ANYWAY.

Have fun, be safe and take lots of pictures. That Nathan's one lucky SOG, not many kids get to go on an adventure with their dad. My bet is Dad going to make some memories too.

HE SAID EVERYONE AT SCHOOL IS ASKING WHAT THEY WILL DO OVER SPRING BREAK. HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO KILL BEARS AND COYOTES AND NO ONE BELIEVED HIM. i TOLD HIM GET USED TO IT. HEY WE HAD SOME GOOD NEWS LAST NIGHT. THE NEIGHBOR CAUGHT A POSSUM IN A BOX TRAP IN HIS BARN AND BROUGHT IT UP. SHE HAD A POUCH FULL OF TINY BABYS. WE TURNED HER LOOSE IN SWEET PEAS OLD CAGE WITH THE DOOR OPEN. SHE RAN INTO THE NEXT BOX INSTEAD OF OUT THE DOOR. SHE CAN EASILY JUST WALK OUT AS THE CAGE IS ON THE GROUND. WE PUT 2 PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICHES AND A BUNCH OF GRAPES IN THE CAGE. THIS MORNING i LOOKED AND ALL THE FOOD IS GONE, SO OPEN THE NEST BOX AND SHE IS TILL HERE! SHE IS FREE TO LEAVE WHENEVER SHE WANTS, OR STAY ON THE FREE GRAVY TRAIN FOR HOWEVER LONG SHE WANTS.. WE GET HAPPY OVER PRETTY SIMPLE THINGS IN LIFE, LIKE A POSSUM WITH BABYS .

If you're going to catch bears, you'd better get a catch pole with a longer handle than that hog snare you use for coyotes and fox. Safe travels!

NATHAN IS MAKING A SPEAR TO CHEST STAB THEM. i TOLD HIM i DON`T KNOW ABOUT THAT. HE SAYS IF AFRICANS CAN SPEAR LIONS SURELY WE CAN SPEAR A BEAR. EITHER WAY, WON`T BE ANY BEARS GETTING TURNED LOOSE. IF WE SPEAR A BEAR i THINK i`LL TRY OUT FOR THE NBA.

REMEMBER MANUTE BOL, THE AFRICAN NBA PLAYER THAT HAD TO KILL A LION WITH A SPEAR TO BECOME A MAN IN THEIR CULTURE? i DON`T THINK THE OTHER PLAYERS EVER GAVE HIM ANY GUFF.

Saw him play against the Pacers in the mid-80's. That guy had about a 10 foot wingspan, about 7' tall and 150 pounds. Could block shots better than anybody.
