the guy is coming to pick up a good bit today and says he has 4 restaurants in indy interested. I told him he needs $20 a lb and I`ll split with him 50/50 if he can get it. he indicated he disn`t know if they`d go that hi. he also indicated they wanted alot more than I`ll have. they want all species, hens, chickens, combs, the fish ones and any others you guys know about. you`d probably have to deliver them to him. it`s ross, erin`s friend. he`s been at the cookout several years. the same one that raises the sea bass. if it pans out I`ll let you all know and send you his phone number if you want in on it.

OK THIS IS THE DEAL. ROSS IS GETTING $20 A LB AND THE COLLECTOR GETS $10 A LB. THAT`S FOR CORAL, HENS ,AND CHICKENS. YOU GOT OYSTERS OR OTHERS YOU`LL HAVE TO ASK HIM. HE SAID HE COULD MOVE LOTS OF THEM, LIKE 100`S OF LBS. . HIS NUMBER IS 317-627-8269. DON`T BLAB THIS ALL OVER OR WE WILL GET FLOODED OUT. i WOULDN`T SHARE IT ANYWHERE ELSE. DON`T MARKET SO MUCH WE GET ALL OUT OF BUSINESS. YOU`LL HAVE TO DELIVER TO INDY OR HAVE ENOUGH HE`LL PICK UP. NO OVER RIPE ONES OR ROTTON STUFF.

All the restaurants loved them. You should see what they did with them. All I ever knew was deep fried or butter seared. These are the better spots in town and every location wanted all I had. Hope some of you have more. Thanks! Ross

SEVERAL DAYS IF FRESH. IF OVER THE HILL ALREADY, NOT AT ALL. KEEP THEM MISTED AND IN PAPER, NOT PLASTIC. PLASTIC IS DEATH TO THEM. IF YOU ARE SELLING GO LOCATE ALL OF THEM AND KEEP AN EYE ON THEIR GROWTH AND PROGRESS, THEN LATER PICK THEM ALL WHEN READY BUT NOT OVER READY AND SELL ALL ON THE SAME DAY FRESH PICKED THAT DAY, NO FRIG AT ALL. IF 1/2 ARE LATER PICK THEM LATER AND SELL TWICE.

I wrap mine in a cloth towel and put in a plastic bowl and good for dang near a week in the fridge. I've never misted them but will give that a shot too.

Do you fellas ever see all the maggot holes in the base of the hens. You might say cause there to old, but even the young ones have them. I fried some today. first time ever. They taste almost like a Morel. I think that is the best way I have ever fixed them.

i SEE NORMAL WOODS BUGS LIKE CENTIPEEDS ETC BUT NEVER SEEN MAGGOTS. i DOUBT MAGGOTS WOULD HURT THEM BUT PROBABLY MAKE SELLING THEN IMPOSSIBLE. WELL AT LEAST THEN THE CHEF WOULD KNOW THEY ARE INDEED ORGANIC AND NOT DOMESTIC. MARK i`D IMAGINE YOUR IDEA OF A DAMP TOWEL IS BETTER THAN MY MISTING AND GIVES SAME OR BETTER RESULT

I found about 20 lbs or so of Bears head teeth/lions mane. It is a snow white mushroom with tentacles. I fried some up to see what it would taste like and it was very good. Hope your guy can use this type as i sure won't eat that much. I left a little as my sack was full. It was growing on and old dead beech log and very easy to see.

call him quick as he has great demand for that, more than the others. but it won`t store very long so you need to get it gone fast.
