What is the latest word on your coyote war with the your anti-friendly dnr and the coyote lady? What happens to you will have some effect on the rest of us.

Not that I've noticed. We CAN still trap I think, but I won't be sure till I get a new license.

What can I say? Exactly nothin'. The anti's have done a good job brainwahsing your DNR and Legislation. However, all we can do now is pray and hope that your Reps and Senators will turn a few heads to your direction.

I've been wondering just where the next blow will fall. If this stands, and it looks like a done deal, what will be next. I just read an article from the DNR saying that to avoid Otters I should set my Beaver traps on dry land. Which is ilegal as they are too big to be on land. Where are we vulnurable? What is the area or animal we should look at next and prepare to defend?

Ps...the coyote issue isn't over yet and I think the DNR knows it...this may get tied up for years (like deer pens have been) if this IAC rule passes...as it clearly undermines the IC and that is a big no-no when you are messing with peoples income. 3 attorneys are working on this while we speak.......(getting ready if the IAC passes July 15th). There is big $ backing this venture and its not coming from trappers so the sky is the limit

tim, I`m not a legal mind, but I don`t think it would be a bad idea to forward some legal shmegal from our attorneys to the dnr, now, just so if they want a last chance to get smart, they can`t say they were weren`t given the opportunity. and it`s 4 lawyers. in fact several dozen if you count all the liscensed heads in the 4 firms. dnr wants to flog with peoples jobs and incomes , I think it`s time they be put on notice their lives and jobs are now being flogged with too. no need prancing around the edges anymore. just my opinion.
