I beat your coon average - thats probably because you, as a buyer, get the early road kills, dog chewed coon etc. and not all high quality like our personal collections.

Lol I noticed no sale on red fox. Is that because the low prices this year? I noticed an average of 15, but the average has gone up though. I'm a little surprised you managed to sell your muskrats, this winter I keep hearing reports of buyers staying away. I talk to one and I told him what I had... he laughed and said no. Ah, well. Great to here you did well and you earned hard earned cash.

The auction will not sell if they feel the bid is too low.
Sometimes that is a good thing, sometimes not.

I sent mine to NAFA and those #'s you post from FHA were comparable to mine. I averaged $18.30 on my yotes, $21.00 on my coon, but did really well on my reds. I sold 15 for an average of $27.33. This was the first time I've ever sent to NAFA but was pleased w/ the results. I will get w/ Tim this fall and send some to FHA and see how that goes.........I really havn't heard any bad words about FHA so I'll give it a try.

The auction will not sell if they feel the bid is too low. two of my reds went for $1.50 each...guess that wasn't TOO low (granted they weren't the best fox, but they weren't damaged, either...and I can put up fox) won't go that route again.

My reds wern't very good...had about 50 on there and only a few sold ....I forget the avg. but under $15.00......darn shame...all long hairs have had problems lately. Hopefully the market will swing this summer as I got a good many yotes & fox sitting in cold storage

not sure this is what ya meant tim, since this is a fha results thread but.
i had a pretty good season, caught plenty yotes, cats, and my share of greys, wound up catching a decent pile of beaver and otter too.
oh, and a chit load of possums and skunks
woulda done better on my coons had i shipped, glad i didn't ship greys, and yotes, that didn't have good feet and were pelted, wish i'd shipped put up beaver, but did pretty good on green beaver, glad all my otters sold at nafa FINALLY.
wound up the season learning about snareing live yotes, all in all i'm happy.

I have a put up questions for cats, fur harvester shows cats with legs tucked in front legs I'm referring to, but my fur buyer splits the front legs and clothes pin wire screen to them left out in front, he wrapped the back legs pretty much all the way around to the front and that looked good but what do you guy 's do with front legs tuck them in or split them and leave them out front, and I would guess splitting them is just so they dry out properly or quicker not sure. not trying to change the post just curious and no you guys would have good opinions on it
