I doubt those two were trappers. Most likly trap thieves. Any trapper would have way more common sence than those two idiots.

I still got a big laugh out of the vid. To bad more of us did not get to enjoy it. Seems we worry about what antis think of us to much. I am almost ashamed of being a trapper. Got to hide my face and cover my feelings, just because somebody that don't know squatm, don't want to see something. BaH Humbug

heck, I never got to even see it. two fools get bit or something? is that the southern idiots trying to grab the coyote on the long chain, by hand ,and put in a dog box? saw that one somewhere and the fat guy gets bit on the ankle. it was pretty funny. I was sure rooting for the coyote. I figured he would get away. he probably did eventually. he was definitly smarter than dumb and dumber.

What burns me is when I'm meeting with our DNR about the coyote issue and they show me copies(pages & pages) of posts copied from this site that the "anti's"sent to them and the Legislators of posts taken out of context......and the posts are by everyone of us...being used against us......that is what is sad

well tim, it`s boiled down to them vs us. dnr and antis on one side, trappers on the other. we tell the truth and they lie. what do you expect from liers?

I can't for the life of me see why our dnr wants to side with the antis. We are the ones that are paying their wages, not the antis. Can't the fools see that if the antis get their way, the dnr people will not have a job. It is pretty dam small and un professional of the dnr to even think about using info from the antis. For the most part they have no kind of scientific evidence to support any of their beliefs. Tim sorry about the rant I threw at you , but I am a proud trapper and furbuyer. I walk with my head held high , my shoulders back and chest pushed out when I claim to be a trapper or furbuyer. I don't try to hide any side of my life style from any group of people, regardless of what they may say or use against me. To hide remarks, vids, thoughts or writings about my personal viewpoint, means that I am no better than a murderer, child molester, or any other kind of common criminal. I will not try to hide my feeling behind the cloak of secrecy or any other form of depression. Untill we stand up and cry out that we are not in the wrong but it is they that are in the wrong, we don't have a prayer in hell of surviving this onslaught of abuse the antis keep throwing at us.

Wolfie that is right as rain. You hit the nail on the head. Unfortuately the public sees us in a poor light. They see us as unsportsman like and cruel. Even our own hunter and fisherman brotheren see us this way. How do we shake that? I would ay you can thank Disney for all thier help in creating an over sensitive society. I still remember Charlie the coyote and his story of making a trip through the big city. One scene in there had a train track switching and it said " that was the largest steel trap charlie has ever seen". The anti's are recruiting them young. Just look at some of thier latest releases. All animal with human personas. Open season was a clear DIRECT attack on hunting.
Piss on Disney.

Bob and Don I agree 100% with both of you. I say though, I will not hide my ideals from anybody. Thete has been a many of phone calls to my bussiness in the last 15 -20 yrs from antis. Most all ended up hanging the phone up quickly as I gave them a verbal abuse talk. It raises my temper a goodly amt. when somebody tells me that I could and should be the thing that is getting killed and skinned. Hell I have even had calls about my root buying. People just can't believe that people kill plants . I do not care what anyone thinks about my way of life anymore. I would just as soon show them my methods as to try to hide them. I do nothing wrong. Don you are correct about the disney syndrome. Disney has been our enemy for years. Bob as far as the DNR, shame on them if they are in bed with the antis. That is not the way the dnr should be ran. But then, I have always had the idea that the Ind. dnr thinks they are the owners and protecters of Ind. wildlife. That is just the way they portray them self to me. Understand it is not necessarily the CO that is putting the show on. I have a lot of respect for a lot of our COs. These are great men doing a job.

Disney is like the most disturbed company I have ever seen. Remember that mermaid film? Their was a priest in the movie and he had an erection. Good God! They think its funny, but who is supposed to take a company seriously with that inappropiate scene in there. Also they have too many gory scenes in it like a getting someones head chopped off by a machete or probably other scenes I have forgotten over the years. I loved that movie Fox and the Hound, but guess who was my favorite character? The Hill Billy, that dude was awesome. That dude, got me thinking 'bout trappin', for they showed a bunch of furs, I thought they looked awesome. Backfired in their face, eh?
I had a sneaking suspicsion of anti's monitoring the site. This is a message to our animal-rights adversaries: something has to die for something else to live. There I said it.
Does anyone else we should make a post to explain the realtiy of trapping and from our standpoint or is that pointless? We've heard theirs why not ours?
