Been a busy summer but made it out for a nice walk today and found a real good batch of paw paws at my best tree. The walnuts and hickorys are all full of nuts this year. Must be all the rain we've had. Also looks like the paw paw and persimmon seedlings we put out are doing ok. Can't wait to eat these.

no rain to speak of since first week in july, and only 2" in june. in spite of that we are loaded with paw paws and persimmons, and the walnut and hickory are heavy. acorns either too early to tell or they tanked. cK`d some seng today and it`s all down AND GONE AGAIN. IT WAS OK 30 DAYS AGO, 1/2 GONE 2 WEEKS AGO AND THE REST GONE SINCE THEN. THE YELLOWROOT IS WEAK, BUT STILL UP. WE HAD GOOD BLACK RASBERRYS BUT THE BLACKBERRIES RAN OUT OF WATER AGAIN AND NO DEAL. NO HAZELNUTS EITHER

Good gosh. I don't remember a summer we've had rain like this. Just nice little showers couple times a week. Mulberries tasted watery but the blackberries were nice. Picked enough one night the wife made me a pie.

Hey Dave. That seng book you recommended is now out of print and everyone wants like 100 bucks for it! Thankfully I can get the Kindle version for 20 but I like paper better. Doubt my wife will let me take her Kindle into the crapper with me.

ought to be a good squirrel year, and next year too. they say rain tomorrow but looks same , light to none here and s.e. gets it heavy again. you guys can`t believe how dry we are here. last year and `88 were worse, but that`s the only worse years I can remember.

Been raining here about 3 hours and I done have 1 inch of rain. Got a 1/2 inch 4 days ago. Got 2 inches a little over a week ago. Hard to keep up with rain amts . It happens every time you turn around. Got a wet but today. Had to take my wood stove up to a friends house to get a small crack welded and it rained cats and dogs when we got home and had to unload the wood burner.
