nah it's the water base, don't think it will harm the rubber, other than maybe the coating being to thick and hardening it, just don't know, maybe do one, and let it set awhile and see. prolly stick w/ wax, just wondering if anybody has tried it, and what the results were.

It's perfect for soft catch traps Tony, is what I used on the BMP traps I tested years ago. I don't like it on all my traps but if I had to use soft catch traps it would be all id use, I don't like having to remove the rubber to dip in petroleum based dips then put them back on.
Once you try it on soft catch's you'll love it. Just don't mix the F1 with city water, found out the hard way that won't work, the dye seperates and just makes a big mess.

hhhmmmm, i bought it to dip snares, does a pretty good job, first i heard about city water deal. what got me to thinking about it was, had some bridgers laying around, needed something done to em, wasn't planning on useing em no time soon, so i carwashed em, and dipped in F-1 looking good, haven't used any w/ F-1 on em in the feild, so don't know that i'll like it later, but for traps to be stored seemed fine. hence the wondering about dipping my softcatch to be used, may dip a couple then i'll know. thanks yall.

Reason I don't like it is I had a CDR froze shut with it! Beaver stepped on it, set the trap off and the jaw's froze in place!
The stuff allow's rusting to continue under it, didn't know that then, do now!

I used it last season, looked good when traps where first dipped. I dipped each trap 3-4 times. Let them hang in barn till season, took them down only to fined rust on traps. I probly wont use it again.
