Oysters...gettem quick before the bugs do. They won't last long. Cut the thick stem out like a V, use your same flour or batter and have at it. Do a google for Oyster mushroom and you'll see the same thing.

Doyle I have picked them off trees and they were froze hard as a rock and when they thawed, they were just fine and I couldn't even tell it. However I haven't put them in the freezer. I have put them on a screen and sun dried them and they rehydrated fine. Dry them whole with that stem cut out.
