are the new ones overpowered like the #3's, and need left set all summer or are they o-k, like they are out of the box?

I know a very very weak trap will hold the biggest strongest fox ever born. waaaay weaker than you`d ever imagine.

the funny thing is the reds i caught in the #3's that were causeing probs on yotes, 5 for 5 were in perfect shape, zero foot damage, and i held em for a week or so, of course they were caught good and high.

turkeys, good to eat if you just eat the breast and they aren`t 42 years old. greys, they need the small traps, as a big heavy #3 cause severe damages up the leg away from the trap. especially in the mud. I`ve never hurt a red in a no 3 softie either ,unless he mudded it up to 10 lb. but the coyotes finding them is pretty brutal. lol and to think our dnr feels sorry for a poor coyote if he gets shreaded by a dog or dogs. the dummies have no reality gene I guess. like whacked in the head as babys or something.

Bobs correct on the greys.I caught a dozen or so this year in #3 softcatch while targeting coyotes none had bad looking feet but they all had dislocated shoulders. For their size a grey fox fight a trap very very hard.
