I have never tried it but would think that it,s to late now.Sang seed sends out its root and has started to grow already. If i had the seed now i would check it to see,but if i had,nt bought it yet i wouldn,t. I have always fall planted with good success.

robert, I`ve spring planted, I mean late, like green grass. as long as the seed is stratified it will come up. late planting is risky tho as if it gets droughty ,as seems the norm now every summer, it`s still weak and won`t come back if the top dies down early the first year. I`d say fall is best, but now is ok too and the later it goes no difference in germination, but drought death risk raises exponentiallyas time goes by. of course fall planting the mouse eating seeds risk is higher too.

Currently we still have a lot frost in the ground. I just have more time in the spring than I do in the fall.
These nice days I get cabin fever working fur all day long.
