okay I have all my meat ground up with meat grinder have let it taint to what I Believe should be okay then added all extra ingredients however its till not as mashed up and I would like it, so how do you that have tried or still do make your own bait get it to the mashed potato consistency, mine is like hamburger at present. one person told me to had more glycerin and just keep mashing it up. Any other idea's or is this the way to get their. thanks

yep I understand and I decided I'd rather have it mashed enough to smear it as well. Tony that articale I gave you on #3 stock trap verses #3 w/rubbers and with piano springs added convinced me to buy the victor soft catch, even though I no the bridgers are better made I still ordered the victor's, you and others helped greatly. but I felt to actually find an article on exactly that was great, hope you read it and sounds like you set up your #3 just right.

The only meat baits I make are rotted down until complete break down. Then you will have two layers one paste floating on a layer of juice. Skim paste off and use both separate. Have done really well with the paste part and only so-so with the juice.

I grind the meat twice. It's already getting pasty the second time through. I do this while the meat is fresh. Then taint it to what you want and stop the taint with SB. Let it set for a couple weeks to a month, then add the good stuff.

okay so let it stand with loose lid for a month and it will get juicey and tainted down more probably. spent a hour this afternnoon with a 1" wood drill bit, drilling the bait to help smash it up. but its not what I 'm after I believe the tainted meat break down is what I have to acheave.
