Got a little beaver this mornin'. Bob gave me a hot recipe for fryin' it up so I'll not go hungry this evening . Momma's down at the Food Network Cookin' Expo so I'm batchin' this weekend. Maybe I'll get the dad or mom tomorrow. Tryin' to help some folks out on a little private lake and maybe that will get me in there for the coon and rats next season.

Ya know, for the size of the critter, there sure isn't much meat on'em after you bone it out. Hind legs and tenderloins is about all that's worth messin' with. Mac, he sure is a small one, I coulda used a 110 instead of that 330. ;D

way to go Gameboy, the good thing about them littleuns, they don't weigh much toteing them out. i been wagging some big boys out today, 1 hind leg make a pretty good mess. just came in going to grab a little supper, and got lots of skinning to do.

Gameboy, ya mite try sometime, cut some up in stew meat, really makes some good soup, or try cutting some up in pretty good size chunks, searing it, add taters, carrots, oinions, and other stuff ya like, and cook like a roast!

"the first thing we do is open the bellies ( belly skin anyway, just enough to get a hand in a pluck out all the livers." Whew! Man I thought the next move was have a bite right there and then! ;D Never heard of eating the liver. I'll save the liver from the next ones and get firemanphob in on the feast. Bob, if you only knew those guys.... that would be a pretty good assumption. If a bad deal broke out, being on their side would be a real good thing to consider. I paid close attention to your advise on the castors messin' with the meat too and thanks for tellin' me. It was a good time.
