Going to work this morning and yep........there it is..... Road killed coyote in the middle of bridge at the Gateway to Columbus.......this is about 2 blocks from City Hall....
The coyote almost made it.......I'm sure others are on the way as the basic NO harvest in our area will begin a push for more room for family groups.......a coyote should fair well in town....lots of eats (just watch out for the cars...lol)
I wish I could take a pic of it........but the bridge is the main way in to town and I would be road pizza along side the yote.

Tim is that the bridge across the river. (SR46) The one you cross going to the fairgrounds? If so I'm suprised he made it that far! Good for him/her.

I saw 2 this morning while at work in Indy. I work for the railroad and was at the RR crossing on 34th st. just north of Massachusetts Ave. on the near Eastside of town. The crossing is right between Arlington Ave. and Sherman Dr.! The 2 yotes were runnin the middle of the tracks heading right towards downtown...........wish I had a camera. It was a sight indeed! Also came across a red that was hit on the tracks just south of the new stadium gettin built lastweek. It's ashame when the reds are gettin pushed that far into downtown. After seeing those 2 yotes today it wouldn't surprise me to see reds hidin under the benches on the square in a year or so.

Last summer I watched a coyote take a crap in the middle of the kiddie playground at Jasper JC Park. About 10pm. High school marching band wroking out just 300 yrds away. Up scale residential area, folks walking their dogs all around. That old fellow could not have cared less.

There was a coyote dead this morning on the interstate between my home and office: I saw them raising pups in the culvert off and on this summer but they've slowly turned up dead in the fast lane.
Last time I went to Indy I saw a fresh roadkill on I65 about 200 yards from a field the notorious Tim Rose traps. The impact will definately be visible after next season....

The things get hit all over the place on the south side on 465. I've caught several this year inside 465 also!
