Has anyone been out looking yet? found some big plants with big bunches of seeds, and some that the mice have gotten.

Found a bunch on the end of knob with quite a few cedars, but all small plants, 2 and 3 prongers. Which brings me to another ?, most of what I am finding is on the lower third of steep hills, should there be more up top.

The top of steep hills may be to dry,i have some planted that is hardly growing on top but as you come down the hill it gets bigger and grows well. I would check the top though cause the seed came from some place and up hill makes cents.

He just said when you find some plants, look uphill and you will find bigger ones.
Doyle, I remember what you told me a couple years ago- " I'm not that old, I just had a rough life" ;D

Doyle your an old fart, lets face it. Looks like you are having a drought in your area Doyle. Seng should be ok in this area till at least October. We have had a wet summer. Grass is green in this area and growing to good.

I have thought the same thing, the 2 spots are a long ways apart. The last is above a lot of larger plants , but at he edge of an area that burned several years ago, no leaf litter left at all. Finally getting some rain this morning.

Sounds like somebody planted a bunch of seed in that spot. You are correct though, it will need to be transplanted a bit, especially if it is real thick. Be shure if you transplant the roots that they are laid out straight and have no bends or J hooked roots. For good results the plants should be about 6 inches apart.
