Lowes in Clarksville $20. First time I ever had knee pads that didn't hurt the back of my knee due to the crappy straps. These are really comfortible. As far as the gate opening, nope, my teacher would kick my arse if I ever set a trap that wasn't on sign. ;D.....no tracks were there. I looked it over good as I knew that was a good potential location. We'll have to go up there and do some callin' in a few days.

Traps $600, Trailer & Misc. equipment $1,500, 4 wheeler $3,000 and checkin' traps everyday and not finding every one of them untouched..........PRICELESS! These two came from the same place and there were still yotes howling while I was doing the remakes......Yeah!

Oh no ya don't! I still have a lot of rough edges that might take years of honing. ;D Your gonna make that 100 for sure...no doubt in my mind. There's another front commin' through and they'll be movin'. Hope ya get that double. I need to close out at 25.

Hey Trey, Now that you have Gameboy lined out, maybe you can give me a class in putting up fur. Just got my last 4 hides on the stretchers and I can't really say I am real proud of them. This year has been a learning experience and I am going to work on my fleshing beam before next year. I have learned. Grinners are easy to tear. Coons sure have a lot of grease on them.
Much more to learn. Mike

This guy looks like a red wolf to me.....I know it's not but his face looks different than most I've caught .

About 1 out of 10 in my area are colored similar to that one. Pretty to look at, but cheap at the fur buyers.

Tony, trappin' in this weather is a real chore even for the pros. Your so far out front, I think I gotta long way to go to make you look bad. I've had so many zilch days for most of this season that I don't wanna even think about it.....It sure is nice to finally be connecting with'em. I was startin' to lose the excitement but not the ambition to see it go right.
Dave, it sure is a shame that the yote of that color isn't worth as much. I believe it had the best fur as far as density and texture of any I caught. Another thing about that yote.....he is the only one that I have caught that continued to fight like H@ll after I cinched the cable down on the catch pole. He was pretty good size too......big ole mean male.

I think those are the ones that have a little mix bred in them. They are almost always well furred and fight hard. The color makes them worthless unless you put them back and sell them tanned.

So far I've caught 5 coyotes behind my house about 400yds away in some fields with a creek running though them. I've noticed that the sign has really been scarce and I haven't snagged anything in three days or so. With that said, my wife asked me to burn some boxes and paper bags and my burning barrel is by a small pond by my house and when I looked at the pond I discovered there has been a party goin' on. Tracks and skid marks everywhere. Well I can't have that rucus goin on will I'm tryin' to sleep so I had just enough time to run to the shop and grab everything for 3 snares and make a lap around the pond and set in the obvious spots. "Whoops there it is"! He is within 60yds of my house......I guess they were working in close due to the ones I've had collecting urine.
