Bob when I was there I wish I looked at your snares you like to use. I've lost too many to chew outs this year. 3 by my beaver job. Ended up with 28 @ that place. I need to kill a few coyotes off that place but I think I need to reevaluate the 3/32 snares

3/32 you will lose 1/2 if they don`t tangle fast. even with first day light cks. . serious. go to 1/8th, no matter what the "experts" say. they work, none get away.

What locks do you prefer. These washer locks ain't my favorite I can tell ya that. While I'm asking, where's a decent place to buy 1/8 cable.

I just use heavy duty "L" drowner locks. work great. I`ve had one coyote in my life ch=rew out of a 1/8th. think I told the story of telling the feedlot mgr the mexicans (the hired help that lived on site) dogs were getting in my snares and them cutting my cables couldn`t believe a coyote could chew a 1/8th in half so laid it onto the mexicans help freeing their dogs. so he went and shot all their dogs, serious. next day I had a coyote in a foot trap not 10 feet away, wearing my 1/8th snare. I said nuttin`. i t was an aged big bruiser with dog feet. I`bve even had puny red fox chew thru 3/32 , so dumped all the 3/32 20 years ago.

I've had a handful of chew outs this year & don't plan on any more after I'm finished here soon. Where do you suggest getting the 1/8 cable?

BOUGHT ALL MINE MAYBE 15 YEARS AGO FROM TODD (SP) ROGUE IN NORTHERN INDIANA. HE MADE THE SNARES FROM CABLE HE BOUGHT. MAYBE SOMEONE ELSE HAS HIS NUMBER AND CORRECT SPELLING. i DESIGNED THE SNARE i WANTED AND HE CUSTOM MADE THEM FOR ME, 15 DOZEN. DOUBLE LOOP TIE OFF STAKE ENDS FOR CROSS STAKING IN OPEN FIELDS WITH NO CHANCE FOR ENTANGLEMENT. KEPT ME IN THE `LIVE BIZ AT 20 BELOW OR HOWEVER LOW IT WANTED TO GET. i DIDN`T WANT ENTANGLEMENT AS i WANTED EVERYTHING ALIVE. IF YOU CAN TANGLE FAST ENOUGH THE SMALLER CABLE WILL WORK "MOST" OF THE TIME. i NEED "ALL" OF THE TIME. COME TO THE COOK OUT THIS FALL AND i`LL SHOW YOU MY SET UP. IT`S REALLY SLICK AND NEVER EVER SEEN ANYONE ELSE WITH IT OR IN ANY DVD`S OR BOOKS AND DEFINITELY NOT ON THE INTERNET. IF i SHOWED IT, IT WOULD BE IN EVERY BOOK OR DVD FROM NOW FORWARD AND THAT GUY WOULD SAY HE INVENTED IT. BEEN THERE DONE THAT BEFORE.. ONE OF THOSE THINGS YOU SHOW FRIENDS, OTHERWISE NO ONE SEES IT TILL AFTER YOU DIE.

Bob, I called him last night. He said to tell you thanks for the referral. He's going to see what he has made up. I may try to meet with him @ IN convention. From what I've seen online his prices seem spot on. Seems like a good guy to talk to.
