He told me I could stay with him, ride with him in his Toyota when setting/checking sets. We blew a tire and I offered to buy a replacement but he wouldn't have it. I managed to get into gas station ahead of him one day & pay for gas. He had said he was going regardless and didn't want anything in return. He is truly a nice guy, and after getting to know him I call him a friend. He liked some of the homemade cookies I had brought, & as soon as I was home I sent a full box. Friends come and go through life, but good friends will last a lifetime. He is a good friend.

I've always pondered some traveling but expenses prevent that. If you got it all covered though wouldn't be bad!

Yes going again this year. It's been a great experience a good guy to trap with. Got to meet his family & friends. All great people. I failed with catching yotes but did well on fox & caught a couple nice cats. If he would ever want to come here & trap some of our ugly coyotes, coon, or whatever I'd be glad to have him here. Someone you can trap with for a solid two weeks and enjoy their company. Yes, I guess I hit a goldmine

Something tells me he probably doesn't want ugly eastern fur. What's your time frame look like this year? Anything you'd change?

Timeframe leaving Indiana November 30, probably stay till December 17. If I catch a cat I'll have to have it tagged by the 16th. Not much I'd change, take more pics, keep better log on traps/bait lure used catches ect...

large areas have had near 100% die outs on coyotes, from east to west. you can`t catch them if they aren`t there. it has really given a boost to cat and red fox populations, so imo best thing that has happened in the last 30 years.

I'd agree sure would be fun to catch more fox/cats then coyotes. It sounded like he had sign last year just didn't get on them (mostly due to the weather). I could be reading it wrong too. Cudos to you Matt you've done what most wish to do.

Since I'm not getting any younger or better looking, I figure I better do a trip while I'm able.
