We won't have much of a morel season in my area. Been finding darn few yellow typ and they are a good 100 ft. apart.Very very poor and I don't think warm weather will help the crop at all. Been to several woods that don't have a thing.;

ONE SINGLE LITTLE WHITE HERE, AND NOTHING ELSE. LOOKED AT A LOT OF HISTORICAL GOOD SPOTS. PLENTY RAIN BUT JUST BEEN TOO COLD AND LATE OF A SPRING. WE HAVE 75 DEGREES NEXT 3 DAYS AND IF THAT DOESN`T DO IT THEN ANOTHER YEAR GONE BY. SPIKES SHOULD HAVE COME AND GONE ALREADY HERE MID STATE.

Get on them Bob, I found about 40 Grey's last evening in town by the house. And of all places they were under white pines.

So , let me get this straight. You would have had all morels, no steak, and still some asparagus, if the morels was up right. I had a small mess of them and gravy for breakfast one morning and that was the end of my season. really bad in my area, what a bummer. I would have bet we would have had a good morel season. I guess the 106 degree temps and all the real dry weather messed them up. Your meal looked real yummy any way you look at it.

My best hunt of the year today. Found 6! The big yellows are just starting here.
I talked to our buddy Ross today. They are finding very few up there, and his Dad knows all the good spots.
