What will furbuyers be paying for SW Indiana, trapped raccoons? Thanks in advance for the serious answers.

4 to 6 dollar average for skinned coon. no medium or small and no low grade coon. Around a 8 to 9 average for put up coon, maybe a bit more if they are of good size, primeness and good color. Probably top of around 14 on 4x good color. around a 3.00 drop per grade size. skinned coons tops will be 9 or 10 on the 4x

dennis just a day ago told me no market at all this year for beaver, grey fox, coon or otter. if anyone is paying anything they must know more than dennis, or expect some upswing down the road. at present no END USER buyers, just middlemen trading furs back and forth. we`ve seen the same scenario more years than not in our lives, so not like this is some odd time.

was discussing this market with my wife and in the last 90 years we`ve had 12 years of ok fur prices. 2 and 3 years ago, and the other 10 years were from about `75 to `85. before that you had to go back to the 20`s and early 30`s. so todays market is the norm, not the exception. kind of like your young buck days chasing young girls, they don`t last long! I was hoping to wind down my trapping career on a high note, price wise. not looking too promising. that ok, I remember the glory days.
