not a hen, a chicken, the orange ones. taste like fried chicken white meat and about same consistency as breast meat . just found about a 20 lb one. too bad I didn`t look friday and we could have fried it up at doyles.

They aren't my fave either. Dry like a chicken breast. I like dark meat.

if you get them real young they are moister and more tender. still need to batter and deep fry. old they get real tough and dry and kind of woody. they sure smell good raw. young are brilliant dark orange almost glow in the dark orange. as they get old they get pale and tend to look more yellow. dave, you get a young one, try it again. you can`t tell it from chicken tenders.
