I doubt a dealer would or could certify seng for anybody but himself. The seng game is very very closely regulated. You just can't do dumb things and deal in seng. I would never even try to certify somebody elses seng for them. dealers get numbered certificates, must keep a log book, must have it certified by a CO or a Ginseng program person. If you would take the seng out of state to sell and it was in his name, you would probably have a great deal of trouble faceing you.

plus why would a dealer go thru the paperwork for anyone but himself? be easier to just buy your own dealers lisc. if you are intent on selling ouit of state . that`s how they intend anyone wanting to sell out of state do it. it`s not that expensive.

Cost you 100.00 for Indiana and you can't get a license after august 15th. You must put an aplication into the state to get a license. You won't like it once you get it. It also opens you up for the l;ittle Ginseng sting operation that we had in Indiana last year. Nothing like getting woke up at 6am and being treated like a criminal.

indiana dnr definitly are donkey weiners imo, but if you are clean they can`t get you for anything. however at some point I feel a class action harassment suit is in order.

Might as well be $5000 per pound this year, not going to be much dug in this drought.

none here unless it was poached last spring. might be a few roots in a seep somewhere at the bottom of hollow. none in the flat woods. I know where maybe a double handful is, and would feel guilty digging it, so none for me this year. the irony is I saw it had mold bad last spring, then what lived thru that went down way early. hope it had enough strength to come up again next year. guess we`ll see. I remember back in the 90`s when the state shut down digging in hoosier national forest based on they had a little patch fenced off and in a drought year the state ginseng guru went and looked at their 10 plants and they were gone. I talked to the stupid egg head and told him his seng is still there and would come up again the next year. the guy making the regs never even knew that. but as we see it`s still illegal to dig in the hoosier here 20 years later, about like the coyote deal, just knuckleheads with no interest in management, just preservation. hardly the definition of wise use.

subtract the 2-3 " of rain you`ve had that we didn`t get doyle, and that`s what`s left down here. we had big hopes for the last 48 hrs and it all pooped out here. some others got it, but not here, again. I looked at some been pods and they did have 2-3 beans in each pod, but no bigger than a grain of sand. don`t know enough about grain farming to know if they will grow or not. I`d guess if it rains yet, soon, yes. if not, no.

If beans get enough rain, they will bloom again and set some new pods. Corn is SOL. Most all of the seng is down here. The seal died even earlier.
