That would make me mad and Im not even a buyer. It has to be tough on you guys that are in the business. Like when I sell my furs I'd be ashamed to take stuff to my buyer the way I seen other stuff. Blood not washed out not combed just a dang mess.

You would be surprised at the seng I see that is a total mess., Gray, black, burnt up. micro waved, broken, moldy and the one that really p s me off, is the fella that grows some on the side and mixes it in with his wild. I have seen cultivated fiber added to wild, to make a lb. of root. Then my most favorite of all, the fella that brings in woods grown stuff and tells you it is wild seng, that his grandpa planted it 30 yrs. ago. all the while your looking at a bunch of smooth , short necked 7-8 yr. old plants.

I bought some fur for a while mostly dog coon and after two years i just quit so i didn't have to look at some of it.They would let it lay for a week before bringing it to me and then cliam they got it the day before and it bloated and smelling.lol but it aint funny.

Doyleflory Your woodsgrown was the best I seen, as far as woodsgrown, this yr. I think the price reflec ted that. When it gets a little older, I think your going to be a happy camper. Best I can recall it was mostly 7-8 yrs. old. Lets hope it don't change characteristics in the next 3-4 yrs. We might also want to try to sell some of it in the green state. I think overall we can beat the heck out of the price by selling it green. Yepper the fur buying part really gets interesting at times. Like you said, they always said it was killed on tuesday and here it is wednesday and the sucker done stinks to high heaven and is bloated. Then they pitch a hissy when ya don't want to buy it or they call you a thief.

I have had people mix poke root in their collections. Also found BBs in the dang stuff, rocks and some people don't bother to wash the dirt off of the roots. Even found some dope seeds in a batch one day.

don, serious now, at least 35 years ago I ordered 2 lb of that domestic wisc seed. planted it in several different woods. some good sites, some not so good. never dug a root to this day. I go look at it every few years. some been stolen, some just gone from flooding or drought, disease, or house in the woods right where I planted it etc.. about normal. my guess is 10% is still there and every bit of 35 years old. it never has reproduced, just greeat big 4 prongs. how do you think that root will pan out price wise? I`ve meant to dig it for 4-5 years in a row now and every year it goes down in june or july from either mold or drought.
